About Revalidation Ready

About Revalidation Ready

Revalidation Ready was created to support nurses and midwives preparing for NMC revalidation while managing the realities of a demanding profession.

For many registrants, revalidation is something that must be organised alongside busy clinical roles, long shifts, and personal responsibilities. The time required to prepare reflective accounts, log CPD hours, organise practice feedback, and compile a portfolio is rarely built into the working day, meaning much of the preparation happens in already limited personal time.

Revalidation Ready aims to reduce that stress by providing clear guidance, structured support, and professional assistance with preparing your revalidation portfolio. The goal is to help nurses and midwives organise their evidence efficiently, understand the requirements, and approach revalidation with confidence rather than pressure.

Why Revalidation Support Matters

Nursing and midwifery are already demanding professions. Finding time to organise documentation, write reflective accounts, and prepare a revalidation portfolio can feel overwhelming when balanced with shift work, patient care responsibilities, and life outside work.

Many registrants end up trying to complete their revalidation requirements late in the process or during their personal time, which can add unnecessary pressure.

Revalidation Ready exists to make the process more manageable. By providing structured guidance and practical support, the aim is to help registrants prepare their documentation efficiently and reduce the stress that often comes with approaching revalidation deadlines.

About The founder

Revalidation Ready was founded by a registered nurse who understands the pressures of preparing for NMC revalidation while working in a demanding clinical profession.

Having personally navigated the revalidation process and supported colleagues preparing their own portfolios, the aim of Revalidation Ready is to provide clear, structured guidance that helps nurses and midwives organise their documentation, develop meaningful reflective accounts, and approach revalidation with confidence.

The service was created to reduce the stress that many registrants experience when trying to complete revalidation requirements alongside busy clinical roles, shift work, and responsibilities outside of work.

Revalidation Ready focuses on supporting registrants to understand the NMC requirements, prepare their portfolios effectively, and complete the process in a professional and structured way.

The goal is simple: to make NMC revalidation more manageable for busy nurses and midwives.

Our Approach

Revalidation Ready focuses on providing supportive, structured guidance aligned with NMC requirements. The aim is not simply to complete paperwork, but to ensure registrants understand the purpose of reflection, professional development, and safe practice.

Support services are designed to help nurses and midwives:

• Organise their revalidation portfolio
• Develop meaningful reflective accounts
• Understand how reflections link to the NMC Code
• Prepare for reflective discussion and confirmation
• Approach the revalidation process with confidence

Professional standards

All confirmation (sign-off) sessions follow the NMC revalidation requirements. Confirmation can only be provided once the registrant has demonstrated that the required evidence has been completed and documented appropriately.

The aim of Revalidation Ready is to support nurses and midwives in preparing their portfolio and understanding the process so they can meet the NMC requirements confidently and professionally.
